Corporate Director, Mechanical Electrical & Plumbing- Technical Services

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, management and execution of our construction projects.  He/She will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Specific Requirements/Duties of the Position Include:

• Leading a team of construction professionals, including project managers, engineers and site supervisors, to ensure the successful execution of all construction projects.
• Developing and implementing construction project strategies that align with the company's overall goals, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.
• Preparing and managing project progress, budgets and schedules, identifying and mitigating potential issues or delays.
• Ensuring all projects meet or exceed quality standards, safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Maintaining effective communication with contractors, subcontractors and other project stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Allocating resources, both human and material, to achieve project goals.
• Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to prevent project delays and cost overruns.
• Establishing annual goals for approvals, renovation and new development projects.
• Overseeing new conversions & refurbishments/master planning of existing properties - from inception to opening. 
• Participating in monthly internal project & design reviews.
• Reviewing property Improvement Plans (PIPs).

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 25 years of progressive experience in construction project management, design of lifestyle and luxury hotels with at least five years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Thorough knowledge of construction codes, regulations and safety standards.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
