We are looking for an experienced Heavy-T Driver with Bucket Truck Operating experience. The Bucket Truck Driver/Operator Technician is responsible for the safely and efficiently operating a bucket truck or aerial lift to perform various maintenance and Installation tasks.

About the role: 

We are looking for an experienced Heavy-T Driver with Bucket Truck Operating experience.

The Bucket Truck Driver/Operator Technician is responsible for the safely and efficiently operating a bucket truck or aerial lift to perform various maintenance and Installation tasks. As part of the role, you will also be responsible for assisting with the clearing of vegetation, branches etc that are interfering with electrical lines.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive Bucket Truck to and from various locations across the region
  • Safely operate aerial lift
  • Check and respond to daily jobs assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Assist Installation Service Delivery Technicians
  • Assist Operation & Maintenance Technicians with cable breaks.
  • Height and road crossing controls
  • Assist with Bee abatement/accessing poles with bees living in the pole.
  • Report all mechanical and vehicle issues to the Fleet department.
  • Maintain good housekeeping by ensuring that the assigned bucket truck is kept clean & Tidy.
  • Report all incidents & accidents promptly.

Requirements/Skills:

  • Valid holder of class 4 license
  • At least 3 years’ experience in similar role
  • Able to work 5 days a week over 7 days inclusive of weekends.
  • Physically in good health (to be able to operate and manoeuvre Truck controls and assist with vegetation duties)
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Positive can-do attitude.
  • Provide references upon request.
  • Ability to produce certificate of character.
