Job Summary

We are New Era Finance Limited, an Industrial and Provident Society with corporate offices situated in Kingston, Jamaica. The position for Loans Officer has become vacant and is now open in the following areas; KINGSTON, MONTEGO BAY, CLARENDON, ST. ANN, ST. CATHERINE, MANCHESTER and WESTMORELAND. The successful candidate will be required to build a strong portfolio of small business and personal loans. If you are passionate about working with small business owners as well as having good personal selling and relationship building skills, give us an opportunity meet you to discuss the prospects of joining our team.

Your Duties and Responsibilities would include;

1. Engaging with the public to promote and sell our loan products
2. Screen potential clients for onboarding
3. Appraise various projects and business ventures for viability to receive  loan assistance
4. Conduct collateral assessment and valuation
5. Ensure effective delinquency and debt collection management of the portfolio.
6. Undertake extensive travel

Qualifications and Skills needed;

•           Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Accounts, Marketing or Banking & Finance

•           Has three (3) years’ related experience

•           Has excellent oral and written communication skills

•           Effective in the use of Microsoft Office tools

•           Ability to work on own initiative

•           Possess professional values and attitudes suitable for a financial institution

•           Have an assertive and persevering attitude
