Asst Controller (Planning, Controlling, Budgeting)

We are looking for an Assistant Controller (Responsible for Planning, Controlling, Budgeting) for our hotel to help management make decisions based on the hotel's performance indicators, to align with the company's objectives and strategies and improve forecasts for future months.

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:

• Analyze income statements in USALI format.
• Use of the tools for the management control of the company.
• Identify key management indicators and analyze them for the correct direction of the company.
• Provide the management and owners valuable and quality information for proper decision making.
• Prepare the annual budget and ensure compliance, helping management and department heads to align with their objectives.
• Analyze the strategic decisions of the company and participate in its financial plan, focusing on maximizing profit.
• Identify and analyze possible deviations in the strategy or budget.
• Risk control through correct monitoring of the same.
• Analyze scenarios in uncertain situations.
• Prepare and analyze business plan for new business opportunities.
• Assist with the tracking of risk control.
• Provide weekly updates to the management team on budget and expenditure.
• Assist the all departments with manning planning and cost based on projected occupancies.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in Budgeting, Planning & Controlling, 2 years should be in a senior capacity with budgeting and forecasting functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Fluent in English
• Experience in the hospitality industry (Hotel) is mandatory.
• Ability to speak spanish is a plus.
