National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCB) invites suitably qualified persons to apply for the position of Relief Chef in Kingston
Core responsibilities:
- Help in the preparation and design of all food menus
- Produce high quality dishes
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets the highest food quality and food safety standards
- Resolve any issues that may arise in the kitchen operations
- Train, motivate and supervise kitchen staff, assess staff performances
Qualifications & experience:
- Tertiary level certification in Food Services, Institutional Catering Management or Hotel and Restaurant Management
- At least 2 years experience in the food industry
- High level of understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, procedures and industrial cooking equipment
- Valid Food Handler’s Permit
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of cost control and ability to manage food cost
- Customer Service oriented and knowledgeable about the food service industry
