The goal is to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the inventory function in compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures to deliver maximum value to the organization.
Job Description:
- Control the disbursement and receipt of supplies, equipment and material through directing the posting of inventory control cards or automated systems.
- Inspect items as to quality and quantity of freight documents.
- Maintain records, prepare reports, and compose correspondences related to the work.
- Unload materials from trucks by hand or with hand operated or motorized equipment.
- Maintain catalogues of available stock items.
- Fill requisitions from stock supplies and distributes items to the various departments accordingly.
- Recommend improvements/modifications to the Stores operation and monitor planned action (follow-up) implemented to maximise service to customers.
- Ensure that the criteria for closing the month end accounts are met by the appointed time.
- Monitor the storing of items, documents, and records to facilitate safe keeping and easy retrieval.
- Maintain stock levels to prevent overstocking and ‘stockouts’.
- Process report requests, documents, equipment transfers/movement, deliveries and/or movements.
- Coordinates supply and equipment transactions with shipping and receiving; checks deliveries against shipping papers, requisitions and purchase orders and sign for receipt.
- Reports and resolves inventory system issues with appropriate parties.
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders and provides requested information while providing a customer experience.
- Comply with the Company’s/ Department’s procedures and policies belonging to the Quality Management System and the Health, Safety & Environmental Management System.
- Perform any other related duties as may be required by the job function.
Education and Experience Requirement:
- BSc. in social sciences, engineering or supply chain from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in a similar capacity is preferred.
- Experience in MS Office Suite and D365.
