Hostess

A hostess greets customers as they enter the restaurant, takes their reservations, gives them menus and shows them to their seats. They may also handle phone calls and customer queries about the restaurant, menu and assist various restaurant staff when necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly, hospitable service by ccheerfully greeting guests, taking them to their table and providing them with silverware and a menu.
• Monitor the table rotation and make sure that each member of the wait staff gets a fair number of tables without giving them too many all at once.
• Keep track of which tables are cleaned and available for new guests, and you may even be required to answer the phone and make reservations.
• Oversee operations of designated station ensuring compliance with departmental standards and meeting / exceeding guest expectations
• Knowledgeable of all food and beverage products
• Handle guest concerns in a timely and professional manner, and report issues to Supervisor and Manager when necessary
• Follow resort policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety policies and other duties as assigned. 

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Fluency in English
• Ability to work independently, multitask and prioritize responsibilities
• Strong guest service orientation and training skills background

• POS experience – (IQ Ware desirable)
