Job Description:
- Respond to the needs of customers in an alert, pleasant and courteous manner, providing accurate information about goods and services.
- Greet customers, using scripted greeting and ascertain what each customer wants and/or needs, and assist accordingly.
- Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging customers and all other aspects of customer service.
- Attend to telephone queries in a polite and professional manner.
- Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements and ensure that it is applied correctly to all invoices/transactions.
- Actively build the sale by suggesting complimentary item(s) available for sale.
- Work with customers to build best possible Hire Purchase contracts and payment terms, and to guide customers accordingly to ensure that the likelihood of approval is maximized.
- Actively increase product knowledge and awareness to provide reliable information to customers on product selection.
- Assist with stock counts, and that stock sheets are completed timely and accurately for assigned areas.
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and orderly display of products in assigned areas.
- Assume the responsibilities of relief Cashier as required and execute all related functions.
- Full adherence to the Company’s discount policy in granting discount to customers and applying discount on the system.
- Perform all duties in conformance with appropriate health, safety, security and environmental and SDL’s policies and procedures.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar capacity
- Minimum of 5 CSEC Passes, inclusive of English A and Mathematics
- Equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint
- Strong communication (verbal and written) skills
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

- Ability to analyse and execute in a fast paced and time sensitive environment
