To adequately service the LFSL customer base with the myriad of services offered by the company and ensure superior customer service to all customers whether internal or external.

Major Job Duties:        

  • Balance currency, coin and cheques in cash drawers at end of day
  • Receive all currency cash for exchange, verify amounts and check for authenticity
  • Examine MoneyGram receive forms & verify information
  • Enter customers' transactions into Customer Management System in order to record transactions and issue computer-generated receipts.
  • Count all currency, coins and cheques received by hand or using currency-counting machine, in order to prepare them for deposit or shipment to other branches or banks
  • Identify transaction mistakes when debits and credits do not balance
  • Explain, promote, or sell all services such as Mobile top-up, MoneyGram, Cambio, Loans and any other value-added service
  • Perform clerical tasks such as cheque requisitions and lodgements
  • Monitor vaults to ensure cash balances are correct
  • Order a supply of cash to meet daily needs
  • Inform customers about Bank of Jamaica regulations
  • Quote exchange rates as per computer (MoneyGram & Cambio)
  • Any other job related duties assigned

 

Qualification:

  • A minimum five (5) C.X.C. subjects including Mathematics and English Language
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field would be an asset
  • Previous experience as a Teller or handling bulk cash in a similar working environment would be an asset

  • Excellent knowledge of cash handling procedure
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be computer literate and possess excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organization and accuracy skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Accuracy skills dealing with cash and processing transactions
  • Attention to detail
