Your Team
You will join the Digital Project Team, reporting to the Digital Insurance Manager. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver speedy, seamless and safe car and home insurance policies online. You will be located at GenAc’s head office at 58 Half Way Tree Road, Kingston, Jamaica.
Your Responsibilities – what will a typical day look like?
External
You will coordinate and manage the activities of the digital sales team in order to meet set targets. You will respond to requests for information via digital channels – e-mail, various types of instant messaging and the GenAc website. You will answer questions, describe our products, give quotes, problem solve, coordinate customer service activities and resolve complex customer problems including billing issues. You will turn inquiries into loyal customers and queries into sales.
Internal
You will train, coach and motivate team members, assign work, prepare monthly reports, and conduct annual performance appraisals for your direct reports. You will authorise transactions carried out by other team members. You will be involved in a variety of personnel functions, such as hiring, counselling, training, promotion and discipline. You will participate in the development of the Digital Team’s annual budget. You will be a role model and cheerleader throughout the company for GenAc’s digital vision.

You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, you are highly customer oriented with the ability to connect with people at all levels. You are reliable, goal oriented and able to multitask effectively. You remain calm and use sound judgment to defuse difficult situations. You motivate others, you are proactive and display initiative. You have a flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and evening shifts.
