Roles & Responsibilities:
General
• Manage all resources (Crane Operators, Forklift Operators, Riggers, Banksman) to ensure supply vessels are loaded and discharged in accordance with pre-agreed plans and schedules
• Inspect all cargo for damage, overloading, relevant documentation, certification and compliance to ASCO standards, prior to dispatch
• Inspect all cargo delivered in accordance with Industry Best Practice Safe Packing and Handling of Cargo to and from Offshore Locations
• Check cargo against cargo DN/load list to ensure all cargo complies with client shipping instructions
• Accurately record all discrepancies and raise non-conformance measures and ASCO SIDs & AIRs as required
• Ensure you are in full compliance with all Group HSEQ and Operating Procedures
• Lead and document Toolbox Talks with crews and operators prior to commencing operations
• Coordinate with client designated Cargo-Coordinator/Dispatcher/Materials Coordinator on inbound/outbound cargo & dispatch to minimize congestion on the Quayside and allow for efficient vessel loading/discharging operations
• Ensure discrepancies, delays and non-conformances are correctly reported.
• Ensure effective use of resources, to minimize congestion and maximize efficiency
• Ensure the receipt and dispatch of all material conforms to ASCO and client requirements for safe shipment, traceability, and accountability
• Mentor and coach inexperienced colleagues inclusive of all equipment Operators, Banksman, Riggers and Chargehands
• Manage the Control of Work process as necessary, to ensure safe and secure work is performed by all Operations, Contractor and Third-Party personnel at your assigned location
• Accurate completion of all reports, statistics and other documentation as may be required (TAR's, SBRF's, Activity reports and all other reports that will be required from time to time)
• Participate and promote ASCO LiveSafe Intervention System, carry out planned/ad-hoc site inspections and safety meetings as required by Procedures and in line with targets in Personal Safety Contract
• Demonstrate positive HSEQ behaviours and maintain a continuous commitment to HSEQ compliance and HSEQ initiatives
• Demonstrate leadership skills with regards to raising the safety awareness of site personnel, actively encouraging reporting and investigation
• Report and document all equipment downtime
• Report and document all late arrivals of equipment Operators, Riggers and Banksman
• Ensure all PTW's are closed out in alignment with the respective GOP
• Create lift plans in alignment with ASCO GLP
• Chargehands/Checkers are required to be outside in the operations area supervising all operations
• Chargehands/Checkers MUST stop all operations once they need to leave the operations area.
• Act as Emergency Warden when necessary

Minimum Qualifications
• 5 CXC passes including Mathematics and English
• Tertiary level certificate or
• Three (3) years' experience in a similar position in the oil & gas, supply chain or logistics industries
• NSL Banksman/Slinger Certification
• LEI 3 & 6 Certification
• EAL Certificate of Competency Level 2
• NSL Rigging & Lifting or Equivalent
• A valid Driver’s Permit
• Clean Certificate of Character
Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours)

• Knowledge of Best Practices within the Logistics Industry preferably related to offshore Oil & Gas support Physically fit, ability to lift 50lbs, traverse ladders, able to function outdoors in the hot sun.

• Fully endorse the ASCO ‘Stop the Job’ policy and commitment to proactive intervention where an unsafe act or condition is observed.
• Adherence to the ASCO’s integrated management system ensuring document control and improvements to key processes is maintained.
