Salary Range: CI$73,416 - CI$96,336

                           (US$87,400 - US$114,685)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Solutions Architect to join the Cayman Islands Government and become a vital member of a highly collaborative team “To make the lives of those we serve better”. The Senior Solution Architect will work in a team of Information Technology professionals who are responsible for designing, developing, testing, modifying and evaluating new and existing software & infrastructure projects that improve and enhance efficiencies of the Cayman Islands Government (CIG) Departments’ business activities within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.

The post holder is also expected to work closely with other Senior Architects, IT Platform and Subject Matter Experts to help identify, design and plan Technology changes. He/she serves the Computer Services Department as an advisor on best practices, and as a designer of effective implementation strategies.

The post holder develops actionable infrastructure blueprints, principles, models, designs, standards and guidelines for assigned projects initiatives to ensure information technology architecture is consistent, usable, secure, and adds value to the business.

Qualifications: The successful candidate should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Management.

Knowledge Skills & Exeperience:

Experience with security configuration baselines is required. Demonstrated experience coordinating across multiple groups and interacting with various teams to achieve successful outcomes is required. Demonstrated experience architecting large-scale IT enterprise IT solutions is required. A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience as a Solutions Architect is required; A minimum of five (5) years’ experience architecting large-scale enterprise IT solutions is required; A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in infrastructure and Security administration and management related functions is preferred.

The post includes excellent benefits as determined by the Public Service Management Act and Regulations (2018 Revision), the Public Service Pensions Law (2017 Revision) and the CINICO Health Plan. This currently includes 25 days paid vacation, 11 public holidays, 12% employer paid pension and comprehensive health insurance.
