Job Title:         Enterprise Business Development Manager

Department:    Sales

Reports To:      Sales Manager

 

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

 

The Enterprise Business Development Manager is required to manage all the strategic aspects and development of business solutions, with particular emphasis on end users’ needs; the Enterprise BDM will meet with key decision makers, develop partnerships with the end users, and work with the Sales Manager to materialize opportunities through our channel partners. The BDM will be involved in generating awareness, forecasting, suggested pricing as well as supporting the distribution channel to increase sales and build key alliances.

 

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Develops and maintains a strong understanding of the end user needs and growth opportunities by implementing strategic and targeted action plans to achieve goals.

 

  1. Creates strong long-lasting and loyal relationships with key end user decision makers; develops Intcomex brand support strategy that guarantees clients will engage the company as first option for possible solutions to their needs.

 

  1. Understands end users’ industry verticals and presents solutions based on industry trends to ensure proper implementations in these organizations.

 

  1. Develops strong relationships with key decision makers of the enterprise resellers and supports the training and management of relationships with their staff.

 

  1. Presents short and long-term strategic business strategies and status reports for the portfolio.

 

  1. Reviews sales reports and conducts analysis of business pipeline to identify opportunities and close gaps to meet and exceed key performance indicators.

 

  1. Actively works with the Sales Manager to close business opportunities and participates in vendor engagements to provide end users with full solutions and implementation deadlines.

 

  1. Actively helps to mentor staff within the internal Enterprise business unit.

 

  1. Supports pricing strategies to maximize the company’s market share and uses all business tools to ensure that customers are satisfied.

 

  1. Collaborates with category and brand managers to grow portfolios and creates awareness of solution-oriented products among end users and enterprise channel partners.  

 

  1. Any other function as agreed between supervisor and subordinate.

 

 

Other:

 

  1. Based on the IT industry landscape, provides feedback to the Sales Manager on the demand for certain specialized products and services offered and identify potential customers.

 

  1. Advises on factors affecting the buying and selling of products and services along with any feedback gathered from clients regarding solutions offered by our competitors.

 

  1. Supports vendor initiatives to maximize sales.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

 

Academic Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Minimum Management and/or Business Degree.

 

  1. Has a proven track record of competence in business development, preferably within the IT Industry.
  2. Has a good knowledge and understanding of the IT Industry and has strong relationships with players in the IT Industry.

 

Skills/abilities/attributes:

  1. Has excellent negotiation, business engagement, sales and analytical skills.

 

  1. Commercially minded with exceptional negotiating and relationship building competencies.

 

  1. Meticulous attention to detail with a proven track record of delivering results while working on multiple projects.

 

  1. Ability to prioritize activities, work on own initiative, and under pressure.

 

  1. Strong sales and time management skills.
