This position is responsible for the reconciliation of several Balance Sheet accounts as assigned by the Chief Accountant. The incumbent prepares journals to clear all outstanding balances monthly.

Job Summary

The Reconciles the assigned balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.

 Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Reconciles the balance sheet accounts as assigned by the Chief Accountant monthly
  2.  Prepares journals to clear all outstanding entries by the following month.
  3. Bring all errors to the attention of the Chief Accountant so that action can be taken to avoid such errors in the future.
  4.  Prepares reports as required.
  5.  Any other duties as assigned by Management. 

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

  • Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals, principles, practices and procedures
  • Ability to produce results with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to exercise a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player with an ability to workwith multiple parties.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • Completed Level II ACCA or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years working experience in an accounting environment.
