The IT Support Officer (ITSO) will provide first-line technical support to all levels of employees within the company. ITSO should apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, resolve, and document issues to maximize the benefit of IT resources.

Job specifications

  • Provide end-to-end technical support for both hardware and software issues.
  • Monitor network for stability, optimum performance, and security.
  • Administer IT resources including printers, computers, and computer hardware.
  • Support personnel in the installation and configuration of system hardware and software.
  • Implementing and enforcing security protocols, including antivirus software installation, data backup, and recovery procedures
  • Keeping detailed records of user requests, technical issues, and resolutions
  • Test and evaluate new technology.
  • Collaborating with other IT team members to address more complex technical challenges.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest technology trends, best practices, and certifications to enhance skills and knowledge in the rapidly evolving IT field.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT/ Computer Science or a related field (Demonstrable experience and knowledge might be accepted in the absence of the degree)
  • 2+ years of experience in Technical Support, desktop support, or a similar role
  • Experience with a variety of software, hardware, technologies, and applications
  • Experience in network administration, including maintaining the physical infrastructure is required.
  • The ability to be a flexible team player and the willingness to learn is required.
  • The ability to write IT Policies, Help/How-to-guides and Best Practice Guidelines is preferred.

 

Special Conditions:

  • Required to travel to our corporate branches to provide support if support cannot be administered remotely.
  • On occasion, it may be necessary to work outside of the standard operating hours, which may include weekends and holiday periods.
