Cost Management Accountant, CARIB Brewery

Job Summary:

The Cost Management Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the timely review of inventory variances, reporting and risk management inclusive of product costing, monthly analyses of cost per case, production variance and methods to reduce variances. The Cost Management Accountant will also be responsible for Continuous Improvement projects, provide the necessary analytics and will also lend support to the Sister Breweries’ inventory and costing.

Job Description:

• Oversees the Inventory Department to ensure effective inventory management for timely reconciliation of variances and reporting, manages inventory risks, and ensures the department maintains good internal and external relationships. Daily/weekly reviews must be done with staff and warehouse managers.
• Acts as the Finance resource for continuous improvement (CI) projects for Inventory and any other related areas. Must be able to measure and improve current projects as well as create new CI projects annually.
• Maintains product costing both manually and within D365 by SKU.
• Prepares detailed monthly analyses and computations such as cost per case and provide details on production variance analysis and CPC variances and methods on reducing these variances.
• Provides the estimates for inventory and related cost for the FLASH report monthly and analyses variances for reporting.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• ACCA qualified or equivalent education from a recognized institution.
• Knowledge and experience in inventory management
• At least five (5) years’ accounting and supervisory experience
• Knowledge and experience in data analytics
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
• Effective communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills
• Efficient Time Management Skills
• Ability to mentor staff and provide support for growth and development.
• Ability to prepare concise and informative reports.
