OVERVIEW:

KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named “Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS)” operating from Kingston, which is contracted to provide back-office support to its member firm KPMG United States (“the Client”).

 

JOB SUMMARY:

looking for a challenging role as a BI Engineer? Join our Data Science and Engineering team and take charge of designing, constructing, and managing cutting-edge data infrastructure using the power of Azure cloud services. Your key responsibilities will include crafting seamless data pipelines, seamlessly integrating data from diverse sources, and implementing robust security and privacy measures. Be prepared to analyze, monitor, and fine-tune data streams, ensuring optimal storage, processing, and cost efficiency. Job summary:

  • Design and implement data storage and processing solutions using Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Databricks
  • Create and maintain data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
  • lmplement data security and privacy measures, such as encryption and access controls.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data flows to ensure data quality and availability.
  • Optimize data storage and processing for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as data scientists and software engineers, to support the development of data-driven applications and services.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • ​Bachelor's Degree/Sr Associate (3-10)/ Manager (10+) 
  • ​Experience delivering data initiatives across multiple stake holders.
  • ​Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Azure DataBricks, DataLake,Pyspark,SQL,DWH/ELT Concepts and CI/CD understanding.
  • ​Experience with Azure cloud services, specifically with data storage, Power BI service (a plus) and processing solutions.
  • ​Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL (extract, transform, load) concepts.
