Operations Manager

The Light & Power Employees Co-operative Credit Union Ltd, is seeking to recruit persons for the following positions:

Operations Manager

Reports to: The Board of Directors

Major Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Credit Union.
• Develop, recommend and implement policies and procedures as agreed by the Board.
• Maintain budgets and optimise expenses.
• Lead, motivate and develop staff.
• Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations.
• Ensure adequate staffing.
• Ensure that there are developmental opportunities for staff.
• Budget and operations
• Lead strategic planning and ensure compliance with the strategic action plan.
• Ensure that financial statements and other required reports are prepared and sent to the Board as required.
• Attend all meetings as required by the Board.
• Responsible for ensuring the successful execution of the Annual General Meeting.

Qualifications & Experience

• BSc in Management/Business Administration/ Finance or related discipline.
• MBA would be an asset.
• A minimum of 5 years relevant job experience in a management capacity
• Extensive knowledge of the Credit Union movement is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
