The HR Assistant is responsible for providing support to the HR Department. The incumbent will be responsible for providing first line HR service and support to stakeholders. He / She will support the HR function throughout the employee life cycle.

Job Function

The HR Assistant is responsible for providing support to the HR Department. The incumbent will be responsible for providing first line HR service and support to stakeholders. He / She will support the HR function throughout the employee life cycle. All activities must conform to organizational guidelines and standards and to all legal requirements of the industry.

Job Function

  1. Assists with the Recruitment process relative to shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding processes as required.
  2. Lends support to the performance management cycle to ensure timely action is taken.
  3. Prepares/coordinates the completion of offboarding documents as per company guidelines.
  4. Assists with Employee Engagement Activities and provides logistical support for execution as requested.
  5. Assists with Compensation and Benefits Programs and Activities as required.
  6. Assists with preparing and/or disseminating department communication as required.
  7. Administers Training Evaluation forms post training.
  8. Schedules department meetings, training sessions, onboarding meetings, etc.
  9. Reviews HRIS system to ensure system is kept current.
  10. Ensures HR records are kept current and organized.
  11. Distributes incoming and outgoing correspondence from department.
  12. Generates reports and analysis of HR data as and when necessary.
  13. Liaises with external customers/contractors/suppliers as and when necessary.
  14. Provides administrative support to HR Projects as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Associates Degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration or a related discipline
  • Working experience handling Grievance and IR matters
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in an HR environment
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft 365 suite.
