The Human Resource Assistant works closely with the HR Team who is charged with the responsibility of implementing, monitoring and ensuring that systems and procedures are in place to avail to Ramco Industries Limited and CEDI Holdings Ltd of an appropriate cadre of human resources

  1. Preparation of job letters for employees at Head Office and CEDI Monthly paid employees.
  2. Renewal of employee contracts for employees at Head Office with the authorization of the relevant manager and follow up to obtain the signed contract for payroll and their files.
  3. Preparation of appointment letters as and when required.
  4. Editing and creating job descriptions as and when required.
  5. Filing of all correspondence for employee files including CEDI.
  6. Obtain punctuality and attendance report for each department in Head Office monthly, liaise with relevant Manager for preparation of required letters.
  7. Ensuring the relevant job description is assigned to all employees.
  8. Conducting reference/background checks for new recruits.
  9. Scheduling and conducting of interviews as and when required.
  10. Ensuring new hires submit a certificate of good character within 1 month of their employment.
  11. Preparation of statutory declaration for new hires where required.
  12. Preparation of Disciplinary Letters relating to punctuality, attendance and accidents.
  13. Preparation and issuance of ID Badges to Head Office employees.
  14. Preparation of Separation Certificates for exiting employees
  15. Preparation of the following letters as required for Head Office employees; Vacation Increased letters, Exhaustion of leave letters, Commendation letters, Job Abandonment letters, End of Contract letters, Acceptance of Resignation letters.
  16. Coordination of Internal and External Training as and when required.
  17. Assist in ensuring receipt of Performance Appraisals and update existing database accordingly.
  18. Coordinate required orientation (HR, IT & HSE) for all new hires.
Minimum requirements
  • At least Five (5) CXC Subjects including Mathematics and English Language
  • Diploma or Certificate from a Recognized Institute in Human Resource Management
  • At least two-years’ experience performing duties associated with the study and practice of Human Resource Management.
