ACCOUNTING CLERK
Distribution Company located in Kingston invites applications for the position of Accounting Clerk.
Principal Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Process and record Financial transactions in an accurate and timely manner (Accounts Payable and Receivable)
- Reconcile bank statements and bank accounts to ensure accuracy and to resolve discrepancies
- Maintain and update Audit Schedules, ensuring proper documentation and organization for audit purposes
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Provide support for various accounting and administrative tasks as needed
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns (GCT, SO1)
Key Competences Required:
- A first degree in Accounting or similar discipline
- At least three years’ experience in a similar position
- Disciplined work ethic
- Possess a professional attitude
- Good knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Excellent inter-personal skills and be able to work as part of a team
