Banksman (Entry Level)

Are you from the parish of Clarendon and seeking a job in a factory setting? Are you willing to work in the lime stone industry? You may be who we are looking for to join our team as a Banksman.

Main duties/ Responsibility 

• Be present at the tipping point area and ensure that the 9 steps to safe unloading are being followed when tipping.
• Guiding drivers and operators of mobile equipment.
• Helping to uphold the control measures for the work activities and environment.
• Utilizing their understanding of the risk assessment.
• Adhering to the training and preparation that they and the driver will receive for operations. 
• Using an agreed and clear system of signalling to direct the driver or operator. 
• Ensure that the ground is level. 
• Keeping the area free from others while operations are underway.

Qualification and Experience

• School leaving certificate
• Previous experience in this role
• Familiarity lime stone operation
• Physically fit and ability to do light lifting
• Ability to use discretion and a keen attention to details
