Assist in achieving IGT’s Sales targets at the territory level, by monitoring individual team members and key outlet performance respectively and devising and implementing strategies to ensuring that all products meet and exceed assigned targets.

OVERRAL OBJECTIVE & PURPOSE

Assist in achieving IGT’s Sales targets at the territory level (Locations: St. James, Hanover, Westmoreland, Trelawny), by monitoring individual team members and key outlet performance respectively and devising and implementing strategies to ensuring that all products meet and exceed assigned targets and that all lottery retail outlets are merchandized in keeping with the company’s standards. These objectives will be accomplished by effective management of the sales team to optimize sales within assigned territory. 

You are also expected to constantly monitor the gaming environment to identify opportunities and/or threats within the competitive space, and escalating same on a timely basis, 

Provide marketing support, as well as ensuring quick and effective responses to retailers’ needs and requirements.

  • Works closely with Procall, Dispatch and Field Services departments respectively   to meet Consumables Distribution, Instants distribution, and Draw Based Game Sales KPIs.
    • Weekly analysis of Draw based games and Instants sales to identify variances and anomalies that may be of concern and develop action plan to remedy same.
    • Weekly analysis of competitive environment to identify threats and opportunities at the retailer level and develop action plan to remedy same.
    • Schedule visits to lottery outlets in your assigned territory to ensure team members are compliant with journey plan, instants KPI’s, consumables distribution standard and optimization plan to exploit value creation opportunities
    • Devote keen attention to high selling lottery outlets and all Supreme Ventures Regional Offices within assigned territory
    • Ensure you visit all outlets within your territory at least once per year.
    • Ensure that retail outlets are merchandised by assigned ADR in keeping with IGT Jamaica’s approved planogram.
    • Ensure Point of Sales Materials are current and relevant at all locations.
    • Schedule field accompaniment with each direct report to evaluate competence, identify areas of development, provide coaching and in field training.
    • Identify and document areas of development for each team member
    • Schedule follow up coaching sessions with each direct report based on identified deficiencies and agreed Individual development plan.
    • Provide full coverage of sales territory of direct reports who are on sick leave, vacation leave or otherwise unavailable.
    • Coordinate with the sales coordinator to ensure that vacation leave is scheduled appropriately for all direct reports while minimizing risk to effective coverage of their assigned territories.
    • Ensure that lottery outlets perform in keeping with sales department’s Key Performance Indicators – Customer Service Levels, Sales targets, Merchandising and optimization standards.
    • Collaborates with Sales, Marketing, and Field Service managers to ensure optimal leverage of existing assets and market knowledge. 
    • Align overall Online and Instants focused field activities to achieve approved business plan and to maximize results.
    • Identify, implement, and optimize long-term opportunities for the sustained growth of the online and instants business in Jamaica.
    • Track team performance against agreed KPIs for both Online and Instant tickets sales
    • Ensure achievement of Outlet Sales Targets. 
    • Assist in designing localised promotions that maximise retail sales potential, and also support products or features launched by the Marketing Dept.
    • Ensure all new outlets are visited by the assigned ADR within 2 weeks of installation and an evaluation / assessment of performance, and service delivery is conducted and, and collaborate with the trade marketing coordinator to plan and execute sales optimization plan for these outlets
    • Actively monitor the trade environment, gather market intelligence and provide Weekly feedback/Monthly reports on trade activities activity related to competition threats, illegal operators, or other issues which could negatively impact sales within assigned territory.
    • Report any technical or communication issues encountered during routine field visits to Dispatch and Communications Supervisor.
    • All new Agents must be monitored for a 3-month period to ensure requisite business support is offered to maintain status and avoid or prevent early suppression or removals.
    • Resolve Store Issues hindering sales performance and where necessary escalate to Sales Manager, Procall lead, Dispatch, Field Services or the respective Brand Manager
    • Monitor the performance of Top Selling Agents in each Parish and implement corrective measures to ensure that weekly sales are consistent with growth plan
    • Monthly reports should be generated regarding corrective action taken and results arising.
    • A schedule of planned visits to Top Selling Agents should be prepared and presented at least every 2 weeks.
    • Attend Monthly/Weekly meeting - to present and discuss Sales Performance within assigned territory and to discuss identified opportunities and threats and optimization/mitigation plans respectively.
    • Liaise with Trade Marketing Specialist to implement appropriate monitoring and reporting mechanism to ensure that retail outlets are merchandised in keeping with the approved IGT planogram.
    • Initiate corrective action measures for team members who are non-compliant with roles and responsibilities
Requirements

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
  • Bachelor’s degree in management, business administration or related area
EXPERIENCE
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Field Sales or Merchandising Supervisor within a FMCG, Manufacturing or Distribution company or similar environment
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
