We are a fast-moving medium-sized Distribution and Processing Company seeking to identify a suitably qualified individual for the position Property Manager for our Central Jamaica:

Job Summary

The Property managers oversee the operation and maintenance of buildings and grounds by responding to users’ needs including buildings, cleaning, catering, hospitality, security, and parking.

Key Functions:

  • Training employees about company policies and procedures for handling inventory, shipping orders, and other tasks
  • Maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers in order to secure competitive rates on products and services.
  • Coordinates the Preventative Maintenance Program for all assigned Office Buildings and other Properties.
  • Coordinates the acquisition and distribution of office supplies, appliances, equipment and furniture and other related spares as required.
  • Coordinates, repairs and construction projects - Supervise/oversee planned refurbishing/maintenance works carried out by external contractors/tradesmen/labourers.
  • Responsible for daily walk through of the facility, assessing for existent or developing problems/concerns.
  • Ensures the continuous upkeep and cleanness of the facility, ensuring floors, carpet and trash are cared for on a regular schedule.
  • Maintains inventory of necessary spares to support timely minor repair works.
  • Proactively seek out and implement Facilities improvement activities and projects. 
  • Communicate any unresolved service issues and challenges to the CEO on a timely basis.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program to ensure the efficient operation of all systems and equipment on the property.

Minimum Requirement & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Mechanical engineering or any related field
  • A minimum of 3 years working experience in Property management  
  • Strong knowledge of the manufacturing industry would be an asset.
  • A high level of integrity, confidentiality, and the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Computer literate, with sound knowledge in Microsoft packaging.
  • Knowledge and management experience in preventative maintenance programs.
