Associate Director, Investment Banking

The Associate Director, Investment Banking drives, sponsors, and manages the origination, structuring and execution efforts of strategic and complex deals for regional clients.

About the Role:

Drives, sponsors and manages the origination, structuring and execution efforts of strategic and complex deals for our clients throughout the region. In addition to developing new relationships the incumbent acts as the owner and coverage lead to a set of strategically important Corporate and Sovereign clients. The incumbent is a subject matter expert for all complex transactions which require advanced support to successfully arrive at a mutually beneficial position for the Bank and the client.

About Success:

• Leads the origination and execution of investment banking deals, ensuring the smooth delivery of financial solutions for our clients.

• Manages & cultivates strong relationships with key decision makers throughout the region in conjunction with the senior coverage team and senior bank executives.

• Drives growth in the region, identifying business development opportunities with new and existing clients and successfully cross-selling Bank products.

• Cultivates & maintains in-depth market information on new financing structures, financial / securities legislation, regulatory programmes and economic trends

• Participates in the development and execution of the strategy and planning for Investment Banking.

• Mentors & develops the junior investment banking team (and wider corporate teams on a select basis).

About You:

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business, finance and / or equivalent professional finance qualifications and experience.

• A minimum of 5 years experience at a senior level in banking with specific experience in Investment Banking / Capital Markets considered a plus

• Exposure to large complex, multi-jurisdictional and syndicated deals.

• Strong knowledge of investment banking products including syndicated loans and bonds.

• Strong understanding of financial structuring and applicability to various businesses/industries.

• Advanced credit risk analysis with strong financial counseling ability.

• Expertise in underwriting and originating complex financial transactions.
