Job Title: Cyber Security Specialist

 

 

Primary objective of the job:

 

The Cyber Security Specialist will serve as a key member of the Business Solutions team. In this role, the individual will be accountable for providing overlay support to the Digicel Business Sales Team. The purpose of this position is to support acceleration in the growth of Digicel’s strategic product portfolio.  Specifically, Cybersecurity solutions but potentially leading to additional parts of the related portfolio. 

 

The individual in this position will be responsible for ownership of the cyber security market, which is highly focused on strategic, managed cybersecurity services. The individual must be a proven professional who can quickly grasp the ever- changing cybersecurity market and how our value proposition applies toward capturing a significant, incremental piece of this fast-growing market.

 

The Cyber Security Specialist will be responsible for optimizing solutions sales revenue in line with Digicel’s Strategy. This position will require the individual to define and implement sales strategies, specific to their verticals, and engage senior stakeholders in the Customer, IT and Lines of Business functions to differentiate Digicel from competitors. The holder must also have a deep understanding of the technology domains in which they are operating, the external market and Digicel’s competitor capabilities.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of Digicel’s cybersecurity portfolio, with the ability to understand the technology, features and benefits in order to optimize the experience for the customer while minimizing the risk during implementation
  • Develop propositions that enable the optimal deployment of complex, Cybersecurity solutions in a way that minimizes risk for Digicel and the customer
  • Ability to explain the impact and value of solutions compared to direct and indirect competitors
  • Build strong relationships with Product Management, Commercial Marketing and the external market, to bring customer and competitor insight
  • Continually stay abreast of the latest Cybersecurity developments
  • Qualify, develop, and maintain thorough company and product knowledge
  • Research consumer needs, and identify how our solutions can meet them
  • Generate leads and grow existing relationships, maintaining an accurate, detailed client book, and developing an active, repeat customer base
  • Make cold calls or perform warm outreach, putting outside-the-box thinking to work to develop new and unique sales tactics
  • Grow the business on a Revenue Financial level to achieve sales targets, and utilize Salesforce to ensure standard processes during sales stages 
  • Ability to drive top line revenue and growth by developing a sustainable pipeline of quality proposals, and closing business
  • Understanding of the consultative sales approach
  • Provide support to existing client base
  • Maintain CRM to manage customers, leads, feedback, and forecasting
  • Upkeep of customer satisfaction throughout the lifecycle of the engagement and upsell process
  • Ability to explain Digicel’s strategy and direction and the benefits to the customer
  • Act as the support contact for existing Account Managers, responding to their leads professionally and in a timely manner, and assisting to design industry-specific outbound efforts
  • Participate in prospective client meetings, presentations, conference calls, web conferences, whiteboard sessions, and events within the territory
  • Capable of working within a dynamic and distributed team environment
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close processes

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical, engineering or related field OR equivalent proven results in this field
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in Cybersecurity or related Techno-commercial field
  • Experience with Cloud, IoT, Networks and Scada systems
  • 2+ years’ experience selling cybersecurity solutions, software and/or services is preferred
  • Proven success in driving sales revenue, as well as managing high performance in a sales team
  • Proven success in driving internal and external sales campaigns, and building mindshare with a wide range of stakeholders, with a variety of techniques
  • Experience in mobile telecommunications and the Information Technology sector would be an asset
  • Experience with one or more global resellers and/or distributors is a plus
  • Formal certification in one or several technology domains such as: Networking, Cybersecurity/Defense, Telecommunications, IT/Systems is highly valued
  • Proficiency in CRM & Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • High level of integrity and trust

  • Excellent verbal and written communications, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • The ability to liaise and communicate confidently and professionally with customer representatives at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Willingness and ability to take a hands-on approach for all key deliverables when required
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexible and willing to work outside core business hours as required
