Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor the Checker is responsible for checking of all inventory movement to and from the warehouse and the daily postings of related warehouse transactions. Maintain accurate records to ensure proper inventory controls
Major Responsibilities
- Daily inventory count and reconciliation (by shift where applicable)
- Daily safety inspection
- Daily postings of (Receipts, Debit notes, sales offices, Blocking)
- Daily loading and unloading of trucks and trailers in accordance to CBL warehousing process
- Direct supervision of warehouse associates
- Warehouse best practices HACCP
- Daily Blocking
- Assist in the completion of all warehouse reports
- Adhere to all company policies and safety requirements for the role as prescribed by the business
- Any other responsibilities as required by the business

Academic qualifications and experience required for the job:
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in a warehousing environment
· Minimum 5 CXC, CAPE, passes
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- High integrity Ability to meet strict deadlines, enforce deadlines and work under pressure
Working Condition: (e.g. dust, dirt, heat, abnormal hours, frequent travel, overtime, etc.)
· Predominantly 8:30 am – 4:30 pm; may be required to work outside the set work hours
· Will be exposed to a Distribution Center & Warehouse environment, at an occasional frequency
· Frequent to moderate walking short/long distances within the Distribution Center, Office and Warehouse areas
· Occasional traveling requirements, CBL Head Office and Distribution Center
· Occasional exposure to forklifts & delivery trucks within the Warehouse area
- Wearing of appropriate PPE gear required for normal daily function
