Job Summary

The Accountant will be required to pay a key role in supervising the Accounting functions for a group of companies. He/she must have the requisite knowledge4 and experience to produce financial statements, supervise accounting functions, and guide team members.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage a team of accounting staff.
• Prepare financial statements i.e. several companies within the Group.
• Prepare IFRS or IFRS for SMEs compliant financial statements.
• Manage financial statements audits.
• Monitor and manage the collection of Accounts Receivables.
• Manage the cash flow of the businesses assigned.
• Manage payroll.
• Manage the budget and budgeting cycle.
• Any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Professional qualification re: CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent.
• A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar capacity.
• Experience in an external audit environment would be an asset.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Peachtree, QuickBooks or Accpac software.
• Highly motivated and driven with a commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage deadlines.
• Team focused with the ability to work as part of a Team.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build trust and goodwill in re: internal colleagues and external customers.
