To achieve the key targets of the organization, in accordance with established strategic directions and policies.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Achieve sales targets and other performance objectives, as agreed.
Keep abreast of industry trends and competitive offerings.
Design, implement and coordinate sales activities to achieve financial and growth targets.
Research the market to identify new business opportunities.
Develop business proposals for new members.
Develop creative strategies to retain SME and business members including conducting interviews and incorporating feedback into the growth plan.
Generate leads and closed sales based on target customers’ lists.
Maintain a robust pipeline of SME and business prospects for savings, loans, FX trading, new non-personal members and credit cards; obtain prospecting information via interviews, telephone calls, e-mails, promotional activities, web applications and referrals.
Develop action-plans for offsite sales activities and record performance activity results.
Secure and capture required documentation and other data for establishing accounts.
Accept cheques, account transfers and any other means of payments as outlined in the Group’s offsite sales procedures.
Full compliance with sales choreography and routines established.
Track and measure individual selling activities daily as required by the appropriate reporting metrics.
Collate and submit Sales Performance Report and any other report as required in a timely manner.
Act as an effective ‘cross referrer’ for the VM Group
Respond to the members’ queries and issues in alignment with the VM Group Service Standards
Represent the VM Group at various events to assist in building profitable relationships with existing and potential customers.
Commit to continuous improvement, supported by continuous training and Performance Management
Provide feedback on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, products and services and potential for new products and services.
Ensures that all information accessible is handled in accordance with the Information Security (IS) Policy
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Economics or equivalent qualifications from a recognized tertiary institution
CERTIFICATIONS
Jamaican Securities Certificate
Certificate in Sales Management
MINUMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of five (5 years’ experience with at least two (2) year in the financial sector in a similar capacity
FUNCTIONAL AND TECHNICAL SKILLS
Knowledge of Building Society Operations and Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA)
Strong knowledge of VMG products and services, laws and applicable regulations
Working knowledge of financial market and target marketing
Needs-oriented sales approach with knowledge of applicable jargon
Results-driven with the ability to consistently product results in a highly competitive environment
Internally motivated and proactive with sound organizational skills
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Strong selling skills with the ability to identify financial needs, develop customized solutions, recommend and implement financial plans with a robust monitoring mechanism
