Position Summary:

As the Senior Systems Analyst (SSA), you will report directly to the Information Technology Lead and be responsible for coordinating all activities of the Systems Analyst team. Your role will encompass planning and executing small to large-scale projects while providing guidance and operational direction to the Systems Analyst team. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of our Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems, and you will play a key role in managing system security with particular emphasis on cybersecurity monitoring programs and tools.  Additionally, you will contribute to training initiatives and the maintenance of technical documentation to ensure smooth operations within the IT department. The position must consistently fulfill these requirements in accordance with Point Lisas Nitrogen Limited’s business objectives, policy guidelines, procedures and through the effective use and management of the available equipment, material, financial and human resources.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Ability to address and provide oversight for all matters related to the administration, support and maintenance of the Systems area which includes the network infrastructure, HCI solutions, servers, telecommunications systems, software, databases, desktop systems and peripherals.
• Ability to plan, implement and monitor security measures to protect the company from cyber attacks, and other data / system security threats.
• Proficient knowledge of Firewall Systems, for example Fortinet solutions.
• Ability to review, recommend, and implement tuning and capacity management tools to aid in optimization and efficiency of the ICT systems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
• Ability to prepare and maintain technical documentation to describe problems and their associated solution for inclusion in the department's knowledge base.
• Ability to define, document and maintain policies, standard operating procedures, system documentation, business processes and associated training plans for the administration and use of the systems.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Administration, Microsoft 365 Administration, Microsoft Windows desktop Operating Systems, and Microsoft 365 Office suite.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with networking and cabling technology.
• Strong understanding of computer equipment technology.
• In-depth knowledge of telecommunications systems, including PBX systems, cellular phones, and mobile device management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ethical standards and ability to multi-task in a dynamic result-oriented environment
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
• Establishes and maintains contingency plans and overall business continuity activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent from a well-recognized, accredited institution.

• A minimum of nine (9) years of working experience in an Information and Communication Technology environment, with a focus on Systems Administration. Additionally, you should have at least three (3) years of supervisory experience, demonstrating your ability to lead and manage a team effectively.

• Preference will be given to candidates with advanced technical training, including CISSP or other relevant ICT certifications.
