Service Technician 

 Join Ecolab’s industry leading Institutional team as a  Utility Service Specialist in the JAMAICA - Negril market. As a Utility Service Specialist, you will become a Using a broad range of electronic instrument tests, calibrates, troubleshoots, and diagnoses repairs to be worked on systems.  Plans customer service visits according to work orders assigned.  Uses equipment specifications, technical manuals, and other information sources to facilitate repair work. Works under minimum supervision.

 What You Will Do:

• Partner with restaurant and hospitality managers to offer comprehensive service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, warewashing, and other specialty food service equipment
• Demonstrate your mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills and ability to read diagrams and schematics
• Provides support for troubleshooting problems and effecting timely solutions.
• Assist the Territory Managers in the sales of equipment by providing necessary technical information, equipment, specs, performance, cost, etc.
• Assist and support Territory Managers in the installation of all equipment necessary to provide the customer with a full-service program.
• Provides service on all equipment used by Ecolab.
• Provides mechanical and technical assistance to customers.
• Assure that Ecolab and its customers have the necessary spare parts, equipment manuals and operational procedures for each piece of equipment used in all accounts.
• Installs electrical wiring, switching devises, controls, etc.
• Maintains and evaluate equipment performance.
• Aid team using skillset to accomplish/ meeting sales goals
• Participates in sales meetings, conventions, necessary to maintain professional knowledge and represent the company.
• Completes installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of  Ecolab systems and customer systems where necessary.
• Keep and care Ecolab’s assigned service vehicle.

 Position Details:

JAM - NEGRIL

 Physical Requirements:

• Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach, and occasionally lift and carry up to 70 pounds
• Ability to work with moving mechanical parts, pressurized steam equipment, open flames, heated surfaces, liquids, and risk of electrical shock in damp, humid, or freezing conditions
• Ability to work on ladders, roofs, and in rare cases, high, precarious places

 Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of technical experience with refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service
• Valid driver’s license 
• Willingness and ability to be involved with the emergency on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends
• Availability for occasional overnight travel as assigned
• Availability to work on Public Holidays
• Flexibility of working with other schedules in other territories

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Commercial refrigeration and/or commercial cooking equipment repair experience
• Self-motivated with the proven ability prioritize and work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Basic command in written and oral use of the English Language
• Certified Electrician
• Knowledgeable of Electrical applications
• Plumbing experience
