The Processing Officer is responsible for accurately processing all work generated by the Unit on a timely basis, ensuring that all documentation is in conformity and compliance with the JMMB Express Finance’s policies and guidelines.

Job Summary: 

The Processing Officer is responsible for accurately processing all work generated by the Unit on a timely basis, ensuring that all documentation is in conformity and compliance with the JMMB Express Finance’s policies and guidelines. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Processes all items (loan payments) and transactions generated by the Branches, Collections, Finance and Recoveries including, Loan Account Payments, Loan Disbursements, Payables and Recoveries on TurnKey within the stipulated deadlines. 
  • Prepare and submit all loan disbursements received to Supervisor for approval and disbursement.
  • Monitors, reviews and reconciles all deviations/ discrepancies and related transition accounts on a daily basis before processing. All errors are to be tracked, compiled and escalated to the Supervisor on a monthly basis for review.
  • Process all payables from JEF Vendors for approval and payments. 
  • Prepares & Maintains custody of all documents, maintains proper filing and ensures items are properly entered in the control logs. Ensures they are kept in a secure environment and appropriately released in accordance with guidelines.
  • Acts as back up within the Unit and performs other related duties/projects as may be assigned.

Qualifications (Education & Certification)

  • Minimum of five (5) CXC or GCE “O” level subjects inclusive of Mathematics and English language. 

Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year payment processing and/or data entry experience at a financial institution 
  • Prior experience in a similar position will be an asset. 
Other:
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and Ovation 5.3
  • Working knowledge of the JEF & Bank’s operating system, guidelines and policies.             
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Time management: - Highly organized accurate, ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines, without supervision
  • Ability to multi task, take ownership for tasks and follow through to completion
  • Ability to clearly communicate with team members, management, customers in a courteous, professional and mature manner.
