Job Summary:

The Porter ensures safe, timely, accurate, and efficient picking, storage, and loading of items within the Warehouse.

Job Description: 

• Ensure that all inventory items discovered damaged/missing are reported/escalated to Management for resolution.
• Ensure that Warehouse Bays are kept clean and tidy.
• Liaise with the Dispatchers, Warehouse Supervisors and Assistant Warehouse Manager(s) to ensure that the correct products are picked, stored and moved in a timely fashion that preserves the integrity of the inventory items being handled.
• Report all accidents/incidents/damages immediately to the Assistant Warehouse Manager(s) and/or Warehouse Supervisors.
• Assist in physically loading and unloading goods onto/off the vehicle as directed.
• Assist in the timely unstuffing of containerised shipments.
• Perform all duties in conformance with appropriate health, safety, security and environmental and SDL’s policies and procedures.
• Comply with Group’s processes and policies as set out and stated in the ANSA McAL Blue Book.
• Perform other related duties as may be required by Management.

Education and Experience Requirements: 

• Five (5) GCE/CXC Ordinary level passes including Mathematics and English Language.
• At least one (1) year experience in a similar environment.
