Junior General Ledger Associate

Location: Remote/ fulltime

Salary: $650 US neg.

Industry: Investment

Position Overview

 

The Junior General Ledger Associate will operate in a fast-paced and intensive crypto environment, interacting with highly complicated and dynamic financial products. The position holder will assist and support the NAV Operations in managing a complex portfolio of investment fund clients.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
  • Perform cash reconciliations for all transactions recorded on a weekly basis.
  • Booking general ledger entries such as bank charges, management fees, legal fees, audit fees payables, receivables.
  • Assist with reviewing expenses records etc. as assigned.
  • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly cash reconciliation reports and invoice packages.
  • Assist the NAV team in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
  • Manages up-to-date and accurate record-keeping in alignment with the Company’s record management standards and procedures.
  • Prepares checklists for all transactions on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
  • Uploads foreign exchange (FX) rates to the system.
  • Liaise and support NAV Department regarding non-reconciled entries.
  • Proactively engage with and resolve queries raised by clients and/or related parties (e.g., auditors, investors, etc.)
  • Liaises with the client and the operations teams to undertake and resolve any issues and concerns.
  • Assist with other accounting projects.
  • Perform other related duties including but not limited to reconciliation, maintenance, and administrative functions as assigned.

 

 

Education and Experience

 

  • Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Certification - Level 1 and above
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in the finance industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of accounting software.
