Construction Manager (Spanish Speaking)

As the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for planning, budgeting and execution on site.

To effectively accomplish this, you MUST be Fluent in written and spoken English & Spanish. You will carry out the study of the project, budget, planning, technical and economic control, execution of the work according to the project, the budget and deadline established. You will ensure the conditions of Safety and hygiene at work and environmental protection.

Functions

• Carry out the study of the work and lead the definition of the construction systems.
• Execute the health and safety project and implementation on site.
• Execute the necessary works for supplies, installation of cranes and other mechanical means.
• Execute the work through subcontractors acting as main contractor. 
• Manage changes.
• Make the budgets for changes requested by management.
• Process the monthly certification of work of each subcontractor.
• Report monthly progress and analysis against the real cost.
• Update the project budget.
• Hire your own construction staff
• Establish access control and surveillance of the work.
• Organize the construction office.
• Visa of work payments
• Perform other functions within the scope of competences as requested by your Direct Report 

TRAINING

• Technical Architecture, Architecture and/or Civil Engineering.
• Occupational Risk Prevention 

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Minimum experience of 10years in positions of Site Manager and / or Resident Engineer. 

LANGUAGES

• English, Level B2, essential.
• Spanish, Level B2, essential. 

IT

• Office, advanced level. AutoCAD, Presto, Project. Advanced level. 

OTHER INFORMATION

• Essential residence in the area or availability to reside in Jamaica.
