Sales Account Representative

to achieve specified sales and customer satisfaction targets, ensuring that the relationship between the client and company is maintained at a high level such that it allows the client to see GAP as a trusted advisor.

The Sales Account Representative will manage existing and new accounts, develop and close new business for the sales of all services in our portfolio.  The focus will be to develop and increase sales of various products and services:

1. Present and sell cargo and shipping services to current and potential clients.
2. Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
3. Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
4. Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
5. Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
6. Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
7. Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
8. Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.
9. Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up.
10. Identify and resolve client concerns.
11. Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, inventory and adherence to goals
12. Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to Management.
13. Coordinate with other company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
14. Develop and implement special sales activities to increase revenue through sales.
15. Support the collection of payments.

 ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows and telemarketing events.
2. Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services.
