The incumbent will be responsible for the safety and productivity of all production processes and employees staffed on the designated shift, as well as plant security.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • To develop a monthly and weekly production plan based on the Production Request Schedule.
  • To make adjustments to production plan based on contingencies that arise.
  • To analyse information to establish trends, developing charts and other information for management decision making in production.
  • To participate in multi-disciplinary teams to identify creative and innovative solutions to address plant optimization challenges.
  • To prepare reports as required.
  • To ensure the Production Process is executed in accordance with the specifications of Company requirements.
  • To oversee the transfer of raw material from inventory to production, and finished goods from production to warehouse.
  • To ensure the safety and productivity of all employees assigned.
  • To enable effective communication between management and operators.
  •  To train new employees and coach existing ones where applicable.
  • To oversee and maintain a clean and safe work place in accordance with Company standards.
  • To investigate and report all incidents (spills, accidents, poor performance, etc).
  • To oversee the manufacturing and packaging of all products.
  • To suggest and implement cost-savings ideas.
  • To conduct performance appraisals of subordinates and undertaking of follow-up action.
  • To ensure all machinery and equipment used in the process is properly cleaned daily.
  • To ensure there is minimal out of stock situation.
  • To ensure production quota is met on a monthly/weekly basis as the case may be.
  • To liaise with the Human Resource Department and Health, Safety and Environment Department to improve, upkeep and enforce health, safety and environment policies of Kaleidoscope Paints Limited so to ensure it is aligned with Kaleidoscope Paints Limited rules and law as possible.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.Sc. Management Studies, Engineering or related field (emphasis on production).
  • 4 to 5 years’ experience in a production environment.
  • Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Ability and willingness to work shifts, flexible hours, inclusive of evening, weekends and holidays when necessary.
