Supply Chain Manager

Our client, a restaurant management company, is seeking to fill the position of Supply Chain Manager. This position is based in Guyana and is open to CARICOM Nationals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create the company’s supply chain strategy.
• Analyse data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues.
• Create reports on KPIs.
• Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly.
• Maintain supply chain inventory and records.
• Train and guide employees
• Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes.
• Resolve issues that come up (e.g., delays in delivery, accidents)
• Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth.
• Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (e.g., use of trucks, forklifts)
• Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards.
• Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals
• Develop and execute par levels for imported items, warehouse, and individual restaurants
• Monitors and corrects inventory levels at outside warehouses and internally to ensure rotation and maximize working capital.
• Works with freight forwards and transportation companies to set best route and rate (reviews and approves all freight terms and agreements).
• Read and comprehend legal documents such as contracts or import/export agreements.
• Understanding principles of accounting and finance
• Coordinating with freight forwarders, custom brokers, and subordinates to manage to effective clearing of imports, delivery to central warehouse

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• A first degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Five (5) years’ experience as a Supply Chain Manager or similar role.
