The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling the business unit’s products and services to clients, as well as developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
Responsibilites:
Demonstrates product and service to potential/existing customers and assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs
Promotes, sells, and secures orders from existing and prospective customers
Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business for the business unit’s products
Makes telephone calls, in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers; communicates via any other means necessary to achieve sales growth
Develops clear and effective quotations and proposals for prospective customers
Follows up with prospective customers, closes new accounts/leads by answering telephone and e-mail inquiries
Ensures that all sales documentation and work orders are completed timely and accurately
Coordinates yearly customer reviews from existing customers
Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends, identifying sales opportunities
Develops strong relationships with customers to establish credibility and trust
Provides timely, professional, and quality service to existing and prospective customers
Assists with contract administration and invoice creation and invoice query resolution
Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the business unit
Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through R&D and consulting with marketing and technical service areas
Provides support for marketing, marketing campaigns, and conferences
Provides historical records by maintaining records on customers and customer sales
Supports the Product Specialist with duties
Any other related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience:
Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
3+ Years’ proven track record and experience in Sales and Marketing
