Our dynamic organization is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the role - Head of Marketing. The ideal candidate is able to provide their expertise in the FMCG industry and has a wealth of experience leading a marketing team and driving growth.

 The purpose of the Head of Marketing position is to oversee and lead the marketing department, ensuring the successful development and implementation of marketing strategies for both locally manufactured wholly owned brands, as well as franchise-manufactured and imported global brands. The role involves driving brand awareness, market penetration, and revenue growth while maintaining consistent brand positioning and customer engagement across all product lines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

o Marketing Strategy: Develop comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives, considering both local and global brands.

 

o Brand Management: Oversee the management and positioning of all brands within the company's portfolio to ensure a strong brand identity and differentiation in the market.

 

o Campaign Management: Lead the creation and execution of marketing campaigns, including advertising, promotions, and digital marketing initiatives.

 

o Trade Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute trade marketing strategies to drive product visibility and sales within retail and distribution channels. Collaborate with sales and distribution teams to align marketing efforts with trade objectives and customer needs.

 

o Channel-Specific Campaigns: Develop and execute marketing campaigns tailored to specific distribution channels, taking into account the unique characteristics and requirements of each channel.

 

o Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify consumer trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for market expansion.

o Budget Management: Responsible for the marketing budget allocation and cost-effective utilization to maximize ROI.

 

o Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product development, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of marketing efforts.

 

o Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the marketing team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.

o deliver safety training programs to employees, including new hire orientations, ongoing safety awareness campaigns, and specialized training as needed.

 

o Internally with: Director of Manufacturing, Head of Sales, Sales Team Product Development Team . Head of Operations

o Externally with: Marketing agencies and vendors

  

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and skills:

o Bachelor's degree in Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

o Minimum 10 years experience in marketing and brand management within the FMCG industry, with a proven track record of successful campaigns and brand growth.

o Strong leadership and team management skills.

o Excellent understanding of market research, consumer behavior, and marketing trends.

o Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

o Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

o Familiarity with both local and global markets and the challenges associated with each.

o Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE JOB

 

The role may require occasional travel, both domestically and internationally, to attend industry events, conferences, and meetings with global stakeholders.

The Head of Marketing must stay up-to-date with market trends, consumer preferences, and industry innovations to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative in its marketing efforts.
