Jamaica Flour Mills Limited is seeking to identify a Lubrication/Maintenance Technician:

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical Maintenance/Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years’ experience with hands-on troubleshooting, diagnosing and repair of industrial equipment.
• Demonstrated understanding of failure modes and ability to assess equipment condition, identify defects and make repair recommendations.
• Level 1 Machinery Lubrication Technician (MLT1) certification would be an asset.
• Ability to create spreadsheets and trend data.
• A high level of safety awareness.
• Demonstrated ability to comply with company/facility policies and procedures (Environmental, Health, Safety, Food Safety, JSA, work instructions, etc.)
• Ability to work from elevated areas (ladders, platforms, scaffolding, and others as required) utilizing fall protection equipment as required.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Power Point).
• Excellent time management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, on-call and overtime.

This position requires standing and walking for long periods, climbing stairs and ladders, working with tools, working within close-confined spaces, and working within extreme temperatures with exposure to manufacturing areas.
