This job requires the candidate to provide support for home installation and repair of all GPON services through executive and complex installations, repairs, removals and inspections.
Main Responsibilities
Confer with clients immediately to ensure that their installation/termination/repair needs are met
Perform daily inspections of installation and repair done by contractors
Report to Dispatch on completed jobs and complete all field data forms and reports in a timely manner
Confer with engineers or others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects or products
Ensure adherence to applicable HSE legislation and policies as far as reasonably practicable
Commit to attending all required HSE training
Ensure all HSE assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are fulfilled on a continuous basis
Communicate with Dispatchers on all new jobs or issues
Attend various meetings with supervisor and departments to ensure company objective are met and participates in inter-departmental planning meetings to coordinate and communicate activities related to the successful completion of projects.
Minimum Job Requirements
Minimum 5 CXC/GCE O 'levels including Mathematics and English Language
Diploma in Computer Networking or Fibre Optic Installation Certification
At least three (3) years working experience in GPON installation in the home
Solid understanding of Fibre Optic Technology and configuration
Ability to perform fusion and mechanical splicing
Ability to take instructions and work under extreme pressure
Strong culture of Health and Safety practise
Available to work shift including weekends and public holidays
Excellent communication skills
Industry knowledge an asset
Proven track record of success in a similar role
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with different levels of management
Strong analytical, organizational reporting and multi-tasking skills
Must have the desire to help others and resolve/respond to issues in a fast-paced environment
Excellent time management skills
Adaptable to changing environments
