Our client, the Gambling Control Commission invites applicants for the position of Head – Licensing. The incumbent will oversee the development of gaming/betting standards and issuing and monitoring licences for various types of gambling establishments

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law/Management or Social Sciences from a recognised institution or a related discipline
- A minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible executive level management experience, and or risk management, auditing or business analysis or licensing experience.
- Prior experience working in a Gambling Commission would be an asset
- Knowledge of local and international standards, legislation, and regulations, including the Gambling Control Act and relevant laws applicable to the Commission would be an asset
- Prior experience working in a Gambling Commission or regulatory environment would be an asset
Key accountabilities:
- Contributes to the development and implementation of strategic objectives, and guidance on standards, legislation and regulations
- Develops, analyses and recommends licensing business processes of the Commission and collaborates with senior management to promote licensing standards in gambling operations
- Oversees licensing activities across the national gambling landscape
- Develops and maintains licensing documentation
- Oversees external and internal consulting arrangements
