PARTS MANAGER

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned;

  • Work with Sales departments to maximize cross marketing opportunities;
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them;
  • Analyzes reports such as sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals and exercise disciplined expense control;
  • Monitors daily reports such as Daily Parts Return to Inventory, Open invoices report, SOR report, and sales productivity;
  • Establishes pricing parameters in each customer category that generate sufficient gross profit to produce a satisfactory profit while maintaining customer loyalty;
  • Develops and utilizes a lost sales tracking report;
  • Maintain a high-performance parts team through hiring, training, coaching, mentoring and performance management in a safe environment;
  • Effectively train and supervise all parts counter associated to meet department and company goals; handle stock order procedures;
  • Ensure that all employees follow their assigned work schedules and enforce to the absenteeism, reporting and tardiness policy;
  • Provides technical assistance to parts department employees;
  • Knowledge and compliance with local regulations that affect operations:
  • Keep up-to-date on manufacturer warranty, policy and return procedures;
  • Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, body shop, wholesale accounts and retail customers;
  • Ensures good parts inventory turnover;
  • Monitors and adjusts inventory to minimize obsolescence;
  • Implement & carry out safety requirements;
  • Optimize Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction;
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints courteously, professionally and on a timely manner;
  • Assist in analyzing departmental operations and storage layout and revises as needed for maximum effectiveness Accomplish objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures and inventory control;
  • Administer the warehouse supervisor in inventory management and warehousing issues;
  • Develops and administers an aggressive wholesale parts program and develops sales promotions to produce profit;
  • Takes advantage of all manufacturers' inventory co-op advertising;
  • Coordinates a prompt, efficient, and timely flow of paperwork;
  • Directs shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing;
  • Ensures that all dealership purchases are properly accounted for before payment is made;
  • Maintains professional appearance.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior experience in the automotive industry. 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Ford, Toyota or other automotive brand Parts Management
  • Must have  knowledge of CDK program.
  • Strong personal and professional judgment, team player with strong work ethic and drive to achieve goals.
  • Hands on management position with Bachelor’s degree preferred but will consider high-potential candidates with high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to examine financial data and use them to improve profitability.
  • Excellent execution skills and must be self-manageable and adaptability
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Provide excellent customer service skills committed to 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Strong organizational skills and record keeping and must be detail oriented.
  • Have the ability to multitask and support the fast-paced demands of our business.
  • Must be able to analyze and resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions; ability to maintain emotional control under high stress.
  • Motivated, charismatic, energetic, physically fit and must able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Heavy interaction with multiple departments required (Parts, Bodyshop, Accounting, and Sales.)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Clean police record must be willing and able to pass a private background check.

Compensation:

 Range is CI$ 75,000.00-95,000.00 annually, commensurate with experience.
