PROPERTY OFFICER

A dynamic and highly regarded company is seeking to recruit a mature candidate to fill the position of Property Officer for Kingston and St. Catherine.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Property Manager, the Field Officer will assist with managing the daily operations of the designated properties.  This role requires someone who has good organizational skills, an eye for detail, and the patience and perseverance to see tasks to completion.

 OTHER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

  • Oversee onsite security guards.
  • Overseeing a team of resident and maintenance staff.
  • Assist with maintenance of the buildings and grounds, direct service providers where necessary, dealing with tenants’ issues, inter alia.
  • Assist with the management of contracts for ventilation and air-conditioning systems, electrical and plumbing systems, waste management.
  • Assist with tenant management.
  • Oversee special projects as assigned by Property Manager.
  • Assist with building and property improvement projects.
  • Analyze and investigate maintenance problems and report and recommend solutions to Property Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Land Economy and Valuation Surveying or related field.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Property Management.
  • Reliable Motor Vehicle.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of regulations governing property management.
