Sales Associate
DESCRIPTION
A company specializing in Furniture and Accessories for the Retail and
Hospitality industries is seeking an energetic and self-driven Sales
Associate for its Kingston store.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide our customers with outstanding service and manage
customer relationships in a manner that makes them want to
consistently shop with us
• Handle customer inquiries regarding sales, billing and delivery and
resolve customer issues in a professional, helpful way
• Achieve daily/weekly/monthly/annual sales targets and other Key
Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by Management. Maintain a
proactive approach towards maximizing sales opportunities to
increase revenue in all product categories by employing effective
sales strategies and techniques
• Perform cashiering function, and correctly prepare all necessary
documents and ensure accuracy in all customer purchases,
transactions, inventory and other procedures
• Uphold visual merchandising and store cleanliness standards. This
includes but is not limited to: price tagging, condition and
arrangement of displays, etc
• Play an active role in stock control and management, including but
not limited to: correctly receiving and checking off goods, participating
in stock counts and checks, ensuring the safety and security of
goods, etc.
• Play a critical and consistent role in the Company’s retail sales and
marketing strategies and activities
• Maintain a high level of knowledge on all Company products,
services, promotions, advertisements and store functions, and be
able to clearly explain all relevant information to customers
• Attend regular Meetings and Training sessions
• Execute tasks for the achievement of operational goals and priorities
set by Management, and perform other duties as assigned from time
to time
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Associate degree in marketing, Business Administration or equivalent
from a recognized Institution
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Sales or Marketing, with proven
success in meeting targets
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must possess the ability to work on own initiative; be a go-getter
• Exceptional customer relations techniques; ability to develop and
maintain excellent relationships with current and potential customers.
• A driven professional, with excellent time management and follow up
skills
• Be a team player with a positive attitude who can build and maintain
harmonious relationships with co-workers
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
This is a full-time role based in Kingston. The successful candidate must
reside in Kingston or the closely surrounding area.
