Primary objective of the job: 



As Financial Reporting Accountant, you will be the key point of contact for the audits of the Group’s subsidiaries. You will be responsible for the preparation of their financial statements under IFRS, including a systematic compilation of notes and disclosures, preparation of reconciliations and working files to support, and aligning with the format and presentation of the Group consolidated financial statements. Continuous improvements and standardisation across all markets will also be a key focus. Experience in preparation of financial statements, together with strong Excel and time-management skills is essential.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Key contact for external auditors in relation to subsidiary accounts
  • Submission of supporting files for audits
  • Preparation of subsidiary statutory financial statements, including holding companies and consolidated accounts
  • Align format and presentation of subsidiary financial statements to that of the Group
  • Improve efficiency and accuracy of existing processes and, where necessary, create new processes
  • Cultivating and maintaining relationships with both local market finance teams and their auditors
  • Provide feedback and training to markets to ensure alignment with Group policies and IFRS across all markets
  • Assist in preparation of Group consolidated financial statements, and related notes and disclosures

 

 
Academic qualifications and experience required:

 

  • ACA/ACCA
  • 1 year PQE minimum
  • Reporting and accounting systems HFM/SAP/Oracle/Great Plains/Workday
  • Prior experience in preparation of multiple financial statements under IFRS
  • Working in audit, or with auditors and other external parties for reporting/compliance purposes

 

Functional Skills:

 

  • Prior experience in a multi-location accounting environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting, reporting, and consolidation
  • Concrete knowledge of IFRS
  • Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Methodical and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • A true team player
  • Strong sense of urgency, proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Continuous improvement and automation mindset, with ability to think outside the box
