The Accounting Assistant I is responsible for Receivable Management for the company.

PURPOSE OF JOB 

The Accounting Assistant I is responsible for Receivable Management for the company, ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately, on time, and in accordance with company policy and practice and to discharge routine accounting functions as directed. 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Follow up with all customers at the end of each week for payments and ensure that they are within the stipulated credit terms.
  • Verification that all Fuel invoices are accurately entered daily on the accounting software after delivery of fuel.
  • Preparation of fuel Invoices for Multi-nationals
  • Prepare Fuel Transport and Delivery invoices.
  • Preparation of customers’ receipts, review of daily bank deposits
  • Providing Statements and resolving all customer queries
  • File and general upkeep of company documents.
    • Submit accurate receivable reports as requested by the CFO.
    •   Liaising with Customers om a regular basis.

 PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS 

  • Level 1 ACCA or Foundations in Accountancy (F.I.A.)
  • A minimum of two years’ working experience in an accounting environment
  • Excellent IT skills – MS word, Power Point, Excel
  • Excellent knowledge from using Accounting Software, Business Central and Sage 50 will be considered an asset.
