Cuso International Jamaica Office has an exciting, permanent part-time, position for a talented Project Support Officer (PSO).

 

Cuso International (Cuso) is an international organization that works to reduce poverty and inequality through the efforts of highly skilled volunteers, collaborative partnerships and compassionate donors. Funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC), Cuso in collaboration with the Caribbean Biodiversity Fund (CBF) is implementing a 4-year project, Caribbean Organizations for a Resilient Environment (CORE) to build the capacity of National Conservation Trust Funds (NCTFs) operating in eight countries (Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Suriname) to implement local, nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation and mitigation through an inclusive and gender responsive approach.

Reporting directly to the Project Coordinator (PC), the PSO will provide administrative, logistical and finance support to the CORE project and its volunteers. The PSO will contribute to the strategic development of the volunteer support functions, ensuring policies, procedures and practices are consistent with Cuso International volunteer support standards. The PSO will provide proactive and extended support to CORE partners and volunteers in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean region and act as key contact for all administrative and logistical queries. In coordination with the Project Coordinator (PC), the PSO will be responsible for supporting all administrative and finance activities of the CORE project and providing remote support to the Caribbean Team.

 

Qualifications required:

Diploma/degree in project management and administration or acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience related to job requirements.

Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in project administration and volunteer/staff management and/or support

Experience in volunteer management or client relations
