The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies and leading a team of sales and logistics professionals to consistently achieve set targets and key results.

Qualification and Experience

  • Must possess a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or similar field
  • A minimum of 7 years Sales experience
  • A minimum of 2 years experience leading or supervising a sales team

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proven track record in sales, marketing, i.e., relationship management and pipeline development
  • Experience managing partner relationships and delivering service offerings
  • Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Driven, highly motivated and results driven
  • Ability to work independently to consistently complete objectives to deliver on key results
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

Core Activities and Responsibilities

  • Management of a sales team to develop, build a sales pipeline and close sales opportunities
  • Engage the sales team to ensure awareness on strategy and desired key results
  • Align the sales strategy with key company stakeholders
  • Develop and manage relationship with all vendors, partners and customers
  • Assess the demand generation to build a pipeline for each sales channel
  • Develop and maintain a sales footprint to optimize category sales in all channels
  • Conduct a daily analysis of the KPI dashboard and implement action as needed to ensure key results are achieved
  • Collaborate with operation and support teams to achieve service delivery standards
  • Keep abreast of competitive products, technologies and industry trends
  • Compile reports and present on department performance and strategic plans
  • Develop and monitor service delivery standards to lead the logistics team
  • Develop and execute strategic marketing campaigns, design and prepare reports for all product
  • Develop and implement all activities and plans for various marketing projects
  • Evaluate and report performance for marketing campaigns. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities to innovate and beat the competition
  • Ensure deadlines and budgets are adhered to, conduct a post event evaluation of all executed promotions and events
  • Organize and attend marketing activities or events to raise brand/product awareness.
  • Direct third-party content creators to ensure we have adequate, appropriate and quality content to support advertising, promotions and social media presence.
  • Manage social media accounts, by creating and sharing content and engaging followers.
  • Network and build trusting relationships with potential vendors and customers
  • Use of Analytics for decision making and implement strategies to manage inventory levels
  • Educating customers and retailers, about our products.
  • Representing the company at product launches, events, trade shows and webinars.
  • Design and implement various strategies to increase volume sales and monitor all performance reports.
  • Keep abreast of developments in the trade and present on strategies or plans for any new initiatives to enhance online presence and improve e-sales.
  • Develop a financial plan and manage expenditure in accordance with approved budget levels.
